Avoiding Sleep Apnea Through Bariatric Surgery

Sleep apnea is a type of sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing or instances of shallow or infrequent breathing during sleep. Apnea is the term used to refer to each pause in breathing. An apnea can last from at least 10seconds to several minutes, and may occur 5 to 30 times or more an hour which is absolutely dangerous to someone who is asleep. Since this usually happens to people who are overweight or obese then bariatric surgery can be one of the best solutions.
